Welcome to my ePortfolio!

My name is Lindsay Smith and my major is animal behavior on the pre-vet track. I am going into my senior year at the University of New England. My future plans include going to vet school and then possibly owning my own vet clinic. I’m not sure what type of vet I want to be yet. There are a few ideas that I have in mind such as a wildlife vet, general practitioner (dogs and cats), and zoologist.

Some of my interests are obviously animals, reading, my dogs and ca, history, and dragons. I love all types of animals except for insects. I honestly can’t do them. If there is a dog walking by me I almost always ask the owner for permission to pet their dog. When I’m looking for a book to read I usually go for the fiction books such as fantasy. There is no specific book or author that is my favorite because there are just so many that I have fallen in love with. My favorite part of reading is falling in love with the author’s words.

Ever since I could remember I have been fascinated with dragons. I’m not sure how it started maybe it was my interest in King Arthur stories. I have been interested in how different parts of the world have been influenced by dragons. That is what gave me the idea to write for my blog.

A few fun facts about me:

• My favorite colors are yellow and green.
• I discovered a love for Virginia Opossums while at an internship.
• I can’t dance so I don’t like dancing in crowds. Yet I sing and dance in my car even though people can still see me.
