In high school, I had to read this as an assignment and immediately fell in love with it. This book really makes you think about how the future is going to be. In this book, the future seems bleak in the main character’s eyes and books are illegal. There is a secret group of people that remember verses or lines from specific books. To ever think that the world wouldn’t have any books allowed in it seems crazy and unreal. To be honest I don’t think that will ever happen (knock on wood). This is because there are a lot of people who hold books close to their hearts and they allow readers to escape reality for a few hours.
